The Flood Warning continues for
the Tug Fork River at Williamson.
* At 7:20 PM Thursday the stage was 36.8 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Friday
morning.
* At stages near 37.0 feet... hosts of roads outside of town closed.

* Flood Warning for...
Letcher County in southeastern Kentucky...
southeastern Knott County in southeastern Kentucky...
southwestern Pike County in southeastern Kentucky...

* until 630 am EST Friday

* at 615 PM EST... local law enforcement reported flooding in several
locations within the warned area.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Whitesburg... Jenkins... Elkhorn City... Fleming-Neon... Blackey...
Partridge... Carbon Glow... Gander... Winters... Amelia... ehkhorn

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.

* Forecast... the river is falling and will continue to
fall.
* At 35.0 feet... low lying areas flood.

... Slick Road conditions will continue through early Friday
morning...

Slick roads will continue through tonight and into early Friday
morning due to the recent snowfall... in addition to this there
have been reports of patchy ground fog. Combine this with
subfreezing temperatures expected tonight... any melted snow will
likely refreeze on roads... adding to the danger. The subfreezing
temperatures will also be harmful to people and animals who are
outside.
